My approach

I work psychodynamically and start from the premise that our pasts inform, but do not dictate, who we are today. Gaining more insight into formative experiences can often bring about a more integrated sense of self.

In our sessions, I will listen deeply to what concerns you and encourage you to explore complexity and contradictions within yourself. Together we will identify and explore patterns in your life—what is serving you, and what might you be able to let go of?

When people think of therapy, they often think about something very belabored. While I do believe therapy is work, I like to bring some lightness to the therapy room. Curiosity and a lack of assumptions are my greatest tools in helping you make changes and get to know yourself better.

My practice is welcoming to all genders, sexual orientations, racial and ethnic identities, religions, countries of origin, abilities, and body sizes. You are the expert on you—I will take your lead.
